Lucky Souls

Fate takes two billion pairs of matched Souls Mixes them up And scatters them (randomly) Across the face of this Earth Like a mother and her baby Each Soul knows the call of its Mate But Fate's cruel hand And twisted irony Separates each Alpha from his Omega Each Yin from her Yang So, this World is filled with the keening of Lost Souls Unrequited Love And Poetry But Fate cannot bend Nature's laws Some Lucky Souls fall close To fulfill their sublime destiny And a few Souls collide As their paths and fortunes cross...

A true soul mate is so hard to find... if and when they do it is pure bliss. Well done my friend! Best wishes, Keith

Beautiful poetry Nigel!! Fate rules everything and I sincerely believe that, how lucky are the ones who fall close, whose paths cross. At least I'm not that lucky one..lol...but anyways, wishing much luck for you:) Love, Chitra

It does almost seem like fate is playing this game of chance at times, just for the amusement of seeing what happens. Fortunately a few souls collide and succeed!! Hooray at least for that! ~ Interesting and thought provoking poem..well done! ~ Carrie

Your philosophy rings true with me, as your poetry excels. I often feel like the luckiest soul in the world for that very reason. Wishing the same for you. Outstanding write! Love, Shar

Nigel, I love this write. It explains everything so perfectly. What a creative and talented mind you possess to figure out why, when it comes to matters of the heart, things seem to work out the way they do. Well said! Love, Robin
