Lucky Souls
Fate takes two billion pairs of matched Souls
Mixes them up
And scatters them (randomly)
Across the face of this Earth
Like a mother and her baby
Each Soul knows the call of its Mate
But Fate's cruel hand
And twisted irony
Separates each Alpha from his Omega
Each Yin from her Yang
So, this World is filled with the keening of
Lost Souls
Unrequited Love
And Poetry
But Fate cannot bend Nature's laws
Some Lucky Souls fall close
To fulfill their sublime destiny
And a few Souls collide
As their paths and fortunes cross...
