Lucius Begot Luci

When Hofmann stumbled across a new synapse, serotonin underwrote a dopamine contract. Cuddle or cringe, carnival or calamity, worlds in one potent punch squared. Blotter art doesn't pursue gallery status rather to dissolve into a cerebral canvas, with a sometimes recess from what is seen. Lucy shut my eyes with a seven-hour kiss, her slow caress gave me a new skin that no shower could make clean. Kaleidoscope giggles shatter reality tickling permanent change, but on that night, I felt the moon plummet and explode into a dawn so that the sun could take it all away.

Rob, I really like this poem! It seems to take one on a psychophysiological trip and reminds me of the infamous song "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds." I don't experiment with drugs anymore, but your narrative takes me back to another time. Best wishes, Thomas

Dear rob, youv written an excellent poem that depicts how an individual would feel or what they see with psychedelic. Which is very clever and creative take! I especially love the lines “ I felt the moon plummet and explode into a dawn so that the sun could take it all away.” An excellent end to your well woven poem! Absolutely love little details so artistically woven into this! Impeccable! Pleasure reading this! Wishing you a wonderful 2025! Hope this year treats you and your loved ones well

This is for the Highest Bidder contest. I think the psychedelic contest was posted after the bidder contest, but filled quickly. Nice to meet you too.

I've read this three times and have been unable to see the connection between stanzas one and two, though I'm sure there is one. I'm a little slow. That having been said, stanza two is way cool!

Other than nicotine and caffeine, acid was the only other drug I liked.

Usually, Lucy provides a visual show, but on that night, it was all about what I felt on the skin. This was an unexpected, but good surprise.
