Lucilla Smiled

Although her smile I could not see, Lucilla smiled through poetry. This lovely lady I met here who graced us with her sunny ways until her very final days became for me somebody dear. Although her smile I could not see, Lucilla smiled through poetry. Her words of wisdom now can flow in heaven, where all angels go. This lovely lady I met here became for me somebody dear. Although her smile I could not see, Lucilla smiled through poetry! RIP Lucilla Carrillo - Written in her memory Oct 2014 For the Sonnetina Rispetto Contest of Dr. Ram Mehta

How true! Don't we all smile, cry, fear, hate... through our poetry? And, we don't even have to see any one! Love this.

What a beautiful and touching tribute you have given to a poet friend Lucilla, who is now no longer here with us Andrea. Impressive lines to keep her smiles alive on the pages of Poetry. These memory lines would keep her smiling in the memory of all those, who were in touch with that beautiful Poet dear friend. Love and best wishes always...Ravindra K Kapoor

Hi, Andrea. I'm published now in Haiku Journal #31and in reading the other submissions, all American haiku, I'm not sure what true haiku is. No matter. I've read the publications and most are not too clear on form. Face it, dear, my poetry is out in left field anyway. Love, daver
