Lucifer's Touch
I howled, I cried, I wept
Looked for him in every face, in every step
To help me out of the maze He left me in
And to bring me out He forgot
He turned His back on me
God went blind
He heard me not
Tormented, broken and shattered
While I lay on the floor he came to me,
Picking me up piece by piece
Put me back together making me whole
I now walk straight, face held high
A permanent smirk on my face and
A twinkle in my eye
But sometimes
When the wind blows hard and
The sun shines bright, hurting the eye
The cracks open, threatening to shatter and fall
He comes out from the darkness
enveloping my soul , makes me spit venom
To curse, to hate. Teachs me the rules of the game.
He walks by my side, never leaving me to die
Showing me what I never saw before
Making Fear my slave,
I have on many a days seen dread in the eyes of death.
My vulnerabilities, I have dug deep inside their graves,
whose graveyard I'll never trod
I now fear not a mortal soul
For the Demon himself has become my God!
