Loyalty, Thou art a Frog

A loyal being is my pet frog
     More reliable than any dog
For a car a dog will chase
       Maybe even win the race
While my trusty frog stays in his bog

Nice Limerick, gw. You got yourself a fine bog frog there! Have a great week, my friend. Bill

Very low maintenance. Flip the lily pad once every other month, even if not necessary. ~ Ho Tel Staff

Can you please reassure me that he stays put out of loyalty… and not because you’ve eaten his legs? What a fun write GW. Thoroughly enjoyed. Terry

I love the pun on "bog" - only the British will get that (I think). :) But you being from the good old US of A, I will take it literally ... still good.

"bog" means "toilet" in Yorkshire ...;) That is why I giggled ... Limericks thrive on idiom, puns and innuendo :)

You are right, Suzette. I have no clue how 'bog' acts as a pun in Britain. Oh, well...
