Punishing for revenge, could this occur to natural systems without capacity to imagine alternative futures? Punishing others for their defiant behavior, actions and words stronger than ignorantly ignoring, bolder than merely angry with Other and our defenseless selves But how much more to accurately measure fair consequences for words of anger compared to more aggressive, too often violent, defiance? If I had never been a victim of another's vengeance, bullying, violence of word and deed, intent and practice to exercise power of revenge against a defiant world, including my own mind v body, however unwittingly, impersonally, would all defiance in my life calm down into more generic anger about fear of not win/win co-invested living while win/lose divesting alone, haunting dreams of chronic claustrophobic stress? Perhaps reactive defiance ruminates becoming who I really am together, not falling apart, but doesn't look right through Other's vengeance lens of win/win opportunity v. win/lose risk. A resisted mark becomes another punished victim growing disturbingly defiant, on strong days and depressed in wronged dark nights. If no defiant anger experience, then no punishing revenge anticipation.
