Love's Dream

I desire to spread my wings, Soar over all the earth, Seeking out pain, misery, hurt and fear. Then descending as a dove, Bring Peace and Hope. And so stem the rising flood Of man's inhumanity to man.

It would be a beautiful sight watching the dove absorb mans hate, and allow it to dicipate through it's soul >> James :)

This is a beautiful poem,I enjoyed it very much.Thank you for your comments,I agree we could learn more if we took a step back to doing things more simply.I've always liked the history behind the Indian culture. If you like the music there is a song you can find on youtube called "Return to Innocence" by Enigma I think you might like.

If you can find a way to reverse man's inhumanity to man, you will have succeeded where so many have failed, Sylvia. I love the optimism and hope this poem inspires in readers. Motivates us all to try and make a difference. Excellent! Love, Carolyn

Such a lovely message of hope, conveyed in this beautiful poem....if only we could heal the world, as a dove of peace....if only..... those two words are so powerful...if only....
