Lovelos

A real african women
I was but a boy
Bewildered by her beauty
This love deemed sickly
By those other men

Her eyes saw nothing but my
soul
And in there dwelled a man
Trapped as a child
I enslaved by time
That i could never fold

The illusion of love slipping from
my fingers
That we couldn't be lovers
Drowns me to no end
As all I am now is a friend
Inlove with a mirage of you.

I had to check this one out because I submitted a poem with the same title some time ago. Yours isn't anything like mine, but it is an impressive write.

But you still carry it in your heart. A sad one Ronny, love unrealized is very frustrating.

Fine piece Ronny. A love desired that never happens, is sad, tragic indeed. Many thanks for your lovely comments :)

The heart feels no age, it is only the body that may keep one from love if the age difference is too vast. I have had these same feelings and wished I had been born sooner. Lovely poem. Mahalo, Lotus

Another powerful piece. Your desire and torture from thoughts of that unclaimed position ring true. They say that it is never to late for anything to happen. Perhaps you can win that woman over....ps. thanks for the comments

Very special sharing of feelings that one has no control over. Being human is such a mystery sometimes I think. I wonder if this is your memory?
