Loved Unconditionally

To whisper the words I love you were never easy,
The fear that comes with those three words,
Made me clamp up, made me close myself off…

You went away, gave a step back,
In the process you wounded me,
Thinking it is best for the both of us,

Little did we know that love doesn’t ask why
It just speaks from the heart, a language
Of its own, crept up right under my skin,
You came along and taught me how to breathe again

The walls build crumbled,
The fear vanished,
The love and care multiplied,
Each breath I take is a reminder that I’m loved,
With no questions asked, loved unconditionally…

Emotions do have a way of creeping up on us, Wilma. Women who find unconditional love are truly lucky! Very moving poem. Love, Carolyn

so true...as we begin to understand love without conditions...love versus lust...tuff concept for most, since our bodies are always drawn to desire....peace , jay
