Love Without Hope, Loving Shallow Pete

He thought about her for many seconds
All those moments she never left his mind
He was surprised when she said she loved him
For him to love her he'd have to be blind

oh wow, what a twist at the end. But "for many seconds" was a taste of what was to come. Good one, Richard.

love is blind Richard, tragic when it is one sided and the other feeds off of one's love but doesn't know how to give love in return... enjoyed this one, good luck in the contest:)

Really intriguing, Richard. It says quite a bit in a small package ... the cruelty of loving one who doesn't love you back (what is one to do at that point?)

I had to be succinct. Thanks for the visit Timothy.

Oh! This is an interesting write...that last line caught me off guard. I've missed you and your writing, Richard. My trip to Malta was amazing. I'm going to catch up now with all your writes. You could find out more about all that happened if you read my latest blog. Hugs! Both Charmaine and Paul had the nicest things to say about you, dear.

I could not think of a more hopeless love in just four lines. Thanks for the luck!
