Love, The Second Time Around

as much a treasure as a blood diamond,
love on the run recaptured,
caged lest it flees again

Love recaptured should be caged so that it wouldn't run away. A beautiful Kimo, Edward. All the best dear friend.

A striking, compact kimo: its clipped lines embody love’s precarious capture, while the “blood diamond” image gives the romance both rarity and danger. The final image of love caged against escape leaves a powerful, uneasy afterglow.

Thank you, Lin🙏 I don't get much time to write these days--raising toddlers, judging contests, working full-time, etc. - so I glad my muse didn't go into hibernation, teehee😊
