Love Me In Black and White

Love me in Black and White musical intro From the keys of your heart a melody rolled back the night illuminated the sky with its symphony of lights and fired new stars in the firmament, each a budding soul, a firework of colors spun within the black and white keys of your heart. lyric /song (0:30 / 2:18) If you find me If you love me I’ll open all the doors to that secret place where time and space lie all snuggled up in place into love’s embrace and eternity’s grace just love me (x) in black and white (x) and all the grey of my heart will soon disappear for your sea-foam brush will spray clots of colors in fertile soil just find me (x) and love me (x) black or white and a burst of moonbeam will unfurl its loving sails and my pain will drop right back into the sea of moonless dreams. back to musical intro (1:52)

Anne-Marie, I read this before, but came back with several small & eternal gifts: Namasthe; salaam, Shalom-Shalom, shanthi Aum, Om Tat Sat, Namaskaram, Marhaba, and Bon Jour! U made my day for asking for the "Peace that passeth all human understanding - Shalom" -- You will always find it within you -- (amin)Anil

Oh Anil, you are so sweet. I know it is Easter weekend, and probably the worst time to say this, but I am not religious, I just have a very strong belief in the goodness of the human heart and to me, that goodness is sometimes unbelievably well expressed in the music we make. Have a very Happy Easter Anil:)

That is a comment that truly warms my heart Solomon; I am so glad you found it interesting. I guess I tried to say that if we could embrace our differences we would actually bring color to this world:)

Absolutely stunning Anne-Marie, without a doubt the words can stand alone, but the music that you have chosen is enchanting. A Super 7+++ from me. You've excelled yourself. Bravo.

What can I say to such enthusiasm? Un grand merci, of course and I'm glad that to you the lyrics can stand alone; to me, they are part and parcel of the music, because they were totally inspired by Yiruma. One day, I'll have to fly to South Korea, or wherever he is in the world and listen to him in concert. That's on my bucket list:)

Alexis, thank you so much for this comment and especially for mentioning 'honesty' for frankly, it is about loving people for who they are, no matter their race, faith, or gender. We need to reach beyond what we perceive as differences and realize that these are the very things that enrich us:)

Anne-Marie Anne-Marie Anne-Marie. This is exceptional and stunning not to mention soothing. The beauty not only from your words and the melody playing is top level all the way. Please take your bow. Thank you for sharing such beauty. And yes, I am speaking of your words. Have a wonderful night. Well done entirely.

Bonsoir mon amie. I'll take my bow to you since you ask so gracefully. Honestly, I am delighted that you enjoyed it so much. The beauty of this site Lisa, is that, after reading wonderful poetry like yours for instance, it inspires you to write:)

With or without the music, this lyric does stand on it's own, sometimes we don't have the confidence we should have in our own writing. Don't get me wrong this is enhanced by the music, but I loved it on it's own as well. Just beautiful! a7

Thank you for your vote of confidence John. I really appreciate that. The music totally inspired the lyric though, so to me, without it, the poem is maimed, just a shadow of itself. My best lyric so far is in French 'Pour un instant'. Without the music, it could as well be somebody else's piece, with the music it makes me cry. Strange, Non?

Oh my Anne Marie. I have not been so enchanted in my life as when I listened to this composition while reading/hearing in my mind your beautiful words sung to this melody. This absolutely took my breath away. The music is so touching and your words...there is no explanation to properly express how beautifully you have done this. I am in awe.

Wow Chris, I am in awe too, at this review, especially coming from you. When a piano piece speaks to me, I'm simply spellbound and believe it or not, 'Grand Master' of the hearts, I am almost incapable of writing about love unless it's linked with a song:)

Wow Anne Marie your beautiful words fit so perfectly with the wonderful melody - I wrote to a song prompt once and I found it so so difficult as i am not musical but was delighted with the result (homeward bound) :-) hugs Jan xx

Thank you so much Jan for your kind comments. Some songs are easy and some so arduous it takes days to get the lyrics and the music to match, but when it happens it is so rewarding . . . and I might add, slightly addicting. Perhaps you should try it again?

This poem lifts its message over the words like a warm wind might rattle the leaves on a summer's eve, leaving understanding and hope in its wake. Emile. #7
