Love, Learn and Forget
I will never forget the first day I placed my eyes on you
There you stood, slowly I felt my heart grow light
I knew right there and then there was a special place in my soul for you
We spoke, kissed and grew by one another, only fate would soon step in
A fear with in you, a flaw that lived over me
All fell to just writing to one another every now and then
Love stood there and saw as we fell apart over nothing
Slowly my shadow grew to stay away, perhaps i am meant to be forever alone
I have wept, and searched for another just like you
Some come close, others seem to match you, yet I always realize the fact
A fact that there is only one in this universe to be just like you, and that is you
There is an ocean of emotion with in my being
It's so hard to accept the fact you are not for me,
For by your side not only did i grow in love, but i also found a reason to love me
These clouds that hang over me, dark and gray
Pause the hour, least the rain keeps me from seeing
It's so hard not to hurt
I miss you so bad, it's hard to breathe
Yet you smile and speak to other hearts forgetting that I even exist
I will always hold dear the day that I met you, for it changed my life
It's pointless to try if your heart is not here with me
It belongs to another, and I shiver
Why cant I find my happily ever after, I only ask God
I learned to write, to speak love unto her ears, to care and be there for her
And now i must learn to forget her
