Alliteration is a literary device, which is based on similar SOUNDS. Unlike tautogram, which is based on similar intial TEXT (writing).

Clearly a misguided romance can cause great grieve, but chances that’s forgone chafes, cheating us out of the possibility of our chivalry in an hour of need. Youthful, yet ambitious, yearning triumphs. At least we have the long, lingering kisses to sustain us, fussing over nothing. Making a wish on aurorae (nearly as awesome as you), is an awful waste of our precious time together in the autumnal period of our lives. When all is said and done, when the world winds down and soft sound persists, love of you is lauded in song.

This is stunning dear Suzette and a poem I admire as I haven’t quite grasped alliteration yet. I keep repeating words out loud to try and hear them but I’m wondering if I haven’t got much of a musical ear! Thank you for the link. I’ll check it out. The picture is stunning too as you look at it and get drawn into the beautiful poem. I especially love the last stanza’ love of you is lauded in song’. Gorgeous! Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your gift. Blessings to you for a lovely weekend

Having said that, if it is for a contest, it is best to defer to the sponsor's requirements.

I am no expert, Christina, but the link I shared should nudge you in the right direction. Often people think of alliteration as only involving consonants, and string them all in a row, one after another. But there are more (subtle) ways to skin a cat. :) The last three lines are alliterative rhymes (initial rhymes) on the assonants (love/lauded/song). Thank you for your kind comment.
