Love Is No Longer Foreign To Me

I was living a reckless life,
without purpose or direction.

I was abandoned by my parents
I grew up in the system.

Love was so foreign to me,
in fact, I didn't think it was
real.

I was hopeless and in despair,
when it came to life I didn't
care.

While I was living a reckless
life a lady came and shared
the good news with me.

At first, I treated her mean and
told her to leave me alone.

But she never did, she continued
to show me the love of God.

As time went on my hard heart
turned around. I wanted to know
more about the bible.

I learned how God so loved the
world that he gave his only
begotten son to save the
world.

In time I believed and repented
for all I had done, accepted
Christ as my savior.

That was years ago, today I know
I am loved and forgiven and set
free.

God's love and forgiveness is
for us all.
