Love Forever

Love Forever

Let me be your guide
Let me walk you through my life
So, you will know me deeply from inside
Let me touch you so you recognize
The lightness of my burning breath
When I slowly approach your lips
And gently move to your chest
In your heart, you will always know
The sound of my faint voice calling
You in your deepest dreams
From a thousand miles away

Caught in a desperate attempt
To wake you and show you the way
To my lonely forgotten grave
Let me tell you beautiful stories
That will open hidden doorways
To the secrets of my life
So, the lonely calling whispers 
In the darkness of the night
Serve you as your guide
To find me in your heart

Let me sing a song of longing
That was written in my soul
It will show you mesmerizing
White secluded blooming grove
Where I was put to rest
More than a thousand years ago

Time flies by like an eagle’s
Smooth glide over the canyons 
But the pain doesn’t go away
I can't stop dreaming about you
Through the empty vacuum spread
Between the time and space
Over the scattered Milky Way
That divides life and death 
In the endless universe
I am calling you in distress

Whispering into your ear 
Secret incantations filled with fear
Terrified that you might not hear
I am trying to break through
By opening the morbid gap 
Between life and death 
Which is hidden in the center
Of pulsating universe

On a bright full moon night
In the layers of shiny stars
Like a veil covering the earth
Finally, I see a tiny slit
Next to the star North
Mesmerized I freeze 
And become a shiny dot

If you look closely at the sky
You can see me dancing among
Other twinkling stars and whispering
The words of love forever to your heart

David Smith July 18, 2016 at 9:24 PM Touches me on so many levels. Scares me more than a little. Glad I am in a good place and my immune system works fine. Does call me back to romance in this time. I am alive and romance is not dead. Will spread that message to my wife. Will look for stars tonight. My no 1 poem for week. Take a bow and a 7. Can't quite smell perfume from your poem but Hypnotic effect has got me dizzy. David in NZ far away enough from temptress calling me out of my time I hope.
