Love Can Be a Pain

Love can be such a goll darn pain A delicious delectable pain With a large helping of hugs and kisses It can just about drive you insane More than once I heard someone ask Is it really worth all the trouble You better believe it, at half the price Nothing can burst my bubble You sweat and mumble incoherently To concentrate, it's really no use Useless as dangly things hanging from a bull Totally and so udderly obtuse So what can you do if you get infected Well there's really no known cure Just dive right on in, swim around for a while You'll wanna stay I'm pretty sure Let me know how that all works out Many have tried it's well known Never were cured, spend a lifetime in love Now resting comfortably in a home © Jack Ellison 2013

Hubby and I must be getting old... we don't romp around the house any more... Arthritis in the ankles slowed me down... so we write HaHa poems galore! Hubby is definately faster than me so have Dragon get in his way... If I can't catch up must use my old bean to catch my oldster... I must say! Friskey gets a new meaning some how, as we maneuver around the room... but to each their own in getting around... as we swoop in for a little boon. The kids groan and disappear, but that's OK so soon....

What a quaint and refreshing look at love, it's demises and it's pleasures. Great write Jack. Please explain the correct format of a Quatrain to me-- you seem to favor this format, and your work flows so well. You could inbox this to me if you like.

I guess you've noticed, I write almost exclusively in quatrains! Made up of 4 lines each stanza (as many stanzas as you wish to write) with the last word in the 2nd and 4th line rhyming... pretty basic like me! LOL Thanks for the kind words KIm... big Canadian hugs xoxoxox

I really got a kick out of this. Though, I have to admit, there are some things that had me really thinking about stuff in the grand scale...aka...new poem to expand on this soon. Thank you for triggering this on me today.
