Love at First Sight - A Pantoum

How lovely it was to romp on the grass,
How easy it was to make friends with her.
I saw her in a car a comely lass,
But their red car sped on in quite a blur.

How easy it was to make friends with her.
I barked at my master to make him speed.
But their red car sped on in quite a blur.
We both caught up to park, and we were freed.

I barked at my master to make him speed.
I saw her in a car a comely lass,
We both caught up to park, and we were freed.
How lovely it was to romp on the grass.

No, it is not a repost and my original. I rarely write on dogs...or cats.

Dear Victor, this was such a delightful read! The pantoum structure gives it a rhythmic charm, and the playful perspective adds so much warmth. You captured the joy of connection so beautifully and innocent, spontaneous, and full of life. I loved every moment of it! Spring Blesssings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
