Love Affair with Words
Syllables seduce, syntax entices,
Vocabulary's siren call is so enticing.
Letters Dance, a lexical romance,
I'm caught in language's passionate trance.
The first date with an "ineffable," spark ignites,
"Petrichor" whispers the secrets of rainy nights.
Each new word, a stolen kiss,
Expanding mind, pure linguistic bliss.
Wielding verbs like weapons, adjectives like caress,
Phrases flow like rivers, I must confess:
Power surges through my veins when I speak,
Eloquence is my armour; in expression, I'm unique.
Diving deep in dictionary seas,
Etymology unravels mysteries.
Connotations subtle, meanings layered,
In nuance, my love affair is savoured.
Committed to this path, forever I'll roam,
Through forests of footnotes, tomes are my home.
Always learning, growing, striving to be
A master of this art called Verbology.
But this passion's not meant for me alone,
I'll plant these seeds wherever I've flown.
Inspire the masses to embrace this love,
Watch language flourish, below and above.
My legacy is etched in ink and sound,
In hearts and minds, these words resound.
For in this love affair with expression and lore,
I've found my purpose, now and evermore.
