Dizain
A dizain is a type of poem that follows a prescribed format of syllables per line while adhering to a certain rhyme scheme. A dizain should be comprised of a single 10-line stanza that includes 10 syllables in every line and is written in accordance with this rhyme scheme: ababbccdcd.
Knowing my pleas were all lost to the wind
I cried, tears pooling deep within my heart.
And the hopes upon which my dreams were pinned
subsequently started falling apart.
And anxiety quickly got its start
making me believe love was not enough.
I always knew losing you would be tough,
but it constantly tears me up inside.
And I have to admit; that it is rough,
always feeling like part of me has died.
