Lost Souls and Soul Mates
Lost Souls and Soul Mates
Lost souls and soul mates, a puzzle piece and picture
We both need each other, but we’re not the only ones
I came to realize, that nothing’s meant to be
I’ve tried to fit in, but I don’t feel I belong
That night I met you, we both knew it was right
We talked for hours in the driveway at your house
All through the winter, and then, the spring and summer
But, I was gone, long before the fall
I’ve lived my life, thinking, I’ve done all right
Each step is better…. Than the one before
I’ve lived my life, thinking, this path is right
But, now I’m lost…. And, I don’t know where to go
Lost souls and soul mates, a puzzle piece and picture
So many others are connecting all around
I see the pictures; that they make together
I feel so jealous, but where do I belong
I’ve lived my life, thinking, I’ve done all right
Each step is better…. Than the one before
I’ve lived my life, thinking, this path is right
But, now I’m lost…. And, I don’t know where to go
~~~~~~~~
Lost souls and soul mates, a puzzle piece and picture
I see your happiness; the color of joy
We talked for hours, but you made it clear to me
Though, you still have feelings
You are now in love with him
Lost souls and soul mates, I thought you were the one
You showed me what it takes, to be the right man
“Don’t try so hard to be, instead look inside”
“You will find the one that’s right”
“But not until its time”
I’ve lived my life, thinking, I’ve done all right
Each step was better…. Than the one before
I’ve lived my life, thinking, this path is right
And though, we’re not together
I am still….
A part, of, your life
