Lost In the Forties

~Lost are our beautiful starlets in the early forties
In full garb, signs of their times, dancing tipping toe prancing their stance
Contrasting our times, no cleavage revealed , but legs were bare

Yes, the focus was most definitely on the legs decades ago. I love the way you describe these "beautiful starlets" of the '40s, "dancing tipping to prancing." Very cool rhythm to your sijo, John and the message is well conveyed too. Wishing you success in the contest! Love, Carolyn
