Lost In the Ends

There is no end to a cold war
But nobody thinks about that
North Korea has a warhead
And is run by a foolish young brat

We kicked ourselves in our ass so hard
Everyone is wearing a new hat
and why would any one care for
a country lead by a lying old rat

Are we all lost in a pipe dream
That won't end without a loud scream
Our enemies picked who we vote for
We don't learn very much from a war

Our children are shot down in our own schools
as our congress gets paid by the NRA
making everyone of us fools
Maybe if it was one of there own kids
Assault rifles will all go away

hi thank you for reading my poem, i would call it unfinished at the moment, most of mine are, i wrote that more as humor, when trump and kim jong_un where at it it on twitter, but i have been through some traumas lately one was almost fatal i have no solitude at this time without that i can't write, but like you say the world is crazy and i am so worn out, that i hope just to be able to get back finishing what i have already, anything new is a long shot, thanks again cynthia

I am with you in our political senses; it’s a frightening world right now. I’m wondering if the genre is better put under Political Verse than for Lyric? Another suggestuion might be, to tweak the rhyme scheme for verse since stanza 1=1&4: 2=2&4: 3=1&2 and 4=1&4 plus 2&5. Five verses in the last stanza? Maybe your point is that we’re all over the place, unpredictable, not following any rules. Just as it is in this rhym scheme for Lyric? It’s a good subject and I want your voice heard.
