Lost England

Oh poor England we lost it so slowly
You didnt notice till now,
till now, how
Imagine the yellow brick road pure holy
Diamonds instead
Pure brilliance shone but now gone
Showing the way dancing in the brightness
Not England
No more tis so grey and dire
Like full of strangers lost on another shore
Not wanting to show full colours anymore
What to do what to do
Ask yourselves this
Shall it be down to some other soul
Tsk!
Today do you change what is gone that you miss
Replace it with your long gone past wish

Don't dare to change
Always the way in town
Come on its time to take this system down

Indeed, Gail, I have no idea where our country is going. Walk through my town with eyes closed, and you could be anywhere- The Middle East, The Baltic, North Africa...sounds like it. Strong write. Viv x
