Notes About The Poem

Lost Affection

Lost in the mirror, I look out the window. In contrast, all the days prior to this. I have thrived on luck and star power. To have your dreams would be fantastic. At some point during the process. How finality I felt, I had forgotten. Oh, that's a dreadful pity. I found affection for myself.

To interact with your authentic self and be present in the glory of a moment is life. To realize that we have missed so much of it in selfishness and narcissism is a tragedy. On the other hand, to realize we must love ourselves to be able to love others is awareness and a pity as we look back on the days and experiences we have missed by not loving ourselves and enabling ourselves to love others. Take your pick, both great lessons to learn my friend. Great message, my dear friend. Bill

Instead of focussing on oneself, looking out to others and the external world will add new dimensions to life. I hope it is what you meant....
