Lost

Sitting quietly beneath the old blue gum tree Flowers surround me lined in neat rows on the lawn White and blue, tall and short placed as if by gods’ decree My eyes mist, oh god what she had undergone Her face clouded in pain, body still as a frightened fawn The room white, Spartan white sheets drape the bed Her raven black hair no more, so much left unsaid Eyes of fierce emerald green now dull and sedate God let fall tears the day her mortal coil she did shed Soon again in each others arms, standing at heaven’s gate

You are truely a good judge, it did not occur to me that people would like it that much. Best feeling in the world to be told by poets whose work far out shines mine that I had penned something good. Thank you for the congrats. Love Shane xxx

Thanks Andrea, I read a poem by Broken wings and it gave me inspiration to write this. I had entered it in the Dizain comp but being silly me, i forgot about the syllable count as i fell into the poem. So a dizain that is not quite a dizain. I have withdrawn it. I read your dizain poem, absolutly superb! A sure first. Love Shane xxx
