Notes About The Poem

Lost

I can’t remember myself
I’m lost
in the attraction
the bleeding need
the dirty impolite hunger
make me somehow matter
soap me with important gifts
drape me brilliant feathers
curves that bedevil
make me pretty
to him

It is what is in your heart that makes you matter to others and if your heart is true then you will always appear beautiful no matter how you look. (John’s philosophical BS for the day) Hope you are having a great summer!

Excellent poem. The transfer of emotion was achieved. This is all a poem should do.
