~Where Without Whom

Loss of Self - Paz

          the forest is tree filled
but there is an isolation unsettling
     a fragility disorienting
due to lack of humanity.
The solitude in nature is overwhelming
    and sense of self slips,
        identity vanishes,
           dissolving, fading
              into the silence
         of the forest.

Nice, Constance - I can see that the isolation of a forest could be unsettling. It's interesting reading the various takes on this contest.
