Lord, Lord Bring Healing- Prayer For Poetry Soup

I come before your throne of grace
I seek just a glimpse of your face
Lord, Lord I come to interceded
For the hurting ones to plead

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Jesus, show your mighty power
Bring forgiveness in this hour
These, your children, are in need
Hurtful words have made hearts bleed

Lord, Lord, bring healing

We are sinners, EVERYONE
We need cleansing from the SON
Every sin to wash away
Blot the vicious words we say

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Jesus, hear my fervent plea
Set us from our vengeance free
Lift our hearts to heaven’s sphere
Show us, Jesus, you are near

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Every tear on every face
Wipe away with heaven’s grace
Clean slates free from all the hate
Please, Lord Jesus, do not wait

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Hear this prayer from my heart
Take us back to a fresh start
Lord Jesus, I believe in You
With love make hearts beat anew

Lord, Lord, bring healing

LORD, LORD, BRING YOUR SWEET HEALING!

AMEN

I very much like this prayer for healing. I also found myself reading a lot of your replies to comments and you have, I believe, wisdom from on high. Responding to everything with verses is so good because the Word of God will always do so much more than the reasoning of man. I see you truly have a heart for the lost souls. May God prosper your endeavours.

Isaiah...thanks for your lovely post. I brought me joy. Love to know of your love for the spiritual side of life. It is what gives hope. Same wishes for you and for all my friends here on the soup.

Also....about your concerns about the veracity of the Word, if you're REALLY interested I could give you material on how the finds in the Quoran caves are like earlier documents...etc etc. There is evidence...on either side, the question always comes back to..what do you WANT to believe? Forget about us...Go back to the teachings of Yashua. He is amazing! :)

Chris, please don't be disappointed or offended. There is no need. Isaiah and I are just "talking shop"! ;) I mean...you wouldn't get upset if two New Agers were discussing something or two Scientologists...or...the list goes on. He made a comment on a spiritual poem in response to a comment I made on his blog. It wasn't meant to offend. Perhaps we should have soup mailed? If it will cause problems, then we will do that next time.

Eileen, there are so many situations this prayer can apply to, but none that a little love would not improve. I thank God that He taught me how to love.... and how to receive love.... to give and how to receive.... Jake

Nette.....it was from my very core...almost written with tears...the begging real....He loves us and yet it is so hard for us to love in return....Him and our fellow human beings....

I hope so.....it is easy to pray....In James it says...(paraphrase...someone knocks at your door and you say, "God bless you, go in peace," when all that person wants is to be fed. The praying is the easy part...the living isn't so easy...."Jesus came to your door, you've left Him out on the street." (Keith Green)

Amen, amen, amen. I also pray for the management of Poetry soup to have the courage to make decisions that enhance what should be a safe place free of intimidation. Thanks for the prayer.

The question is, Richard....do we have a safe place in each other's hearts? If that were the case...then other things would fall into place. Sad.....

I really identified with this beautifully written plea to our Lord and Savior. There is so much hurt and desperation in the world... P/Soup is a testimony to that through some very pain-etched poems.

Thanks, Kim. I'm glad you stopped by. Sometimes the pain and hurt is just more than we can bear...that is when He assures us: Zephanianh 3: 17..... The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

This is so beautiful Eileen, I really loved this magnificent write my friend! I truly loved reading this delightful poem this evening! What a powerful message you sent! Great Work!! PS My family were in a major car accident a couple of nights ago and there was some injuries though nothing severe! Air bags save their lives! So, needless to say I might not be as good at commenting or posting poetry for a short time! But I will be back at it soon! Thanks!
