Lord God, You Are My Hunger-Appeaser
September 23 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Luke 6-7
Key Verse – Luke 6:3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY HUNGER-APPEASER
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who feeds me with Your bread of satisfaction
Thank You for healing my withering soul with Your revival-action
So that I can rise up and stand forth by Your persuasion
To do good through Your stretching restoration.
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who fills me with Your goodness
Thank You for confirming my calling by prayer’s fullness
So that I can disciple well through Your graciousness
To testify about Your salvation of loving kindness.
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who blesses me with Your kingdom’s treasure
Thank You for smiting my doubts by Your words that assure
So that I can rejoice in Your consolation’s pleasure
To expect for Your provisions beyond measure.
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who forgives me with Your righteous judgment
Thank You for pardoning my confessed sins along Your mercy’s settlement
So that I can submit to You with honesty and endearment
To serve You midst sincere commitment.
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who sets me under Your authority
Thank You for increasing my faith with Your compassion’s bounty
So that I can glorify You while overcoming own infirmity
To declare Your counsel along meekness and humility.
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who desires me to dine within Your fellowship
Thank You for wiping my tears of hardship through Your comforting friendship
So that I can come near You toward stewardship-partnership
To live for You, obedient to Your leadership.
Lord God, You are my hunger Appeaser
Who suffices me and my daily need
Thank You for paying my sins’ penalty, granting me eternal life indeed
So that I can go to heaven, acquitted from damnation, truly freed
To please You transformed for Christlikeness in creed and deed.
