Looking For Gold In An Iron Mine

Am I looking for gold in an iron mine? I’m in a scenario that’s not too fine. Everyone searches for opportunity. There are far too few for any eyes to see. Some fool’s gold can be found all over the place. There are trials and errors that we must face. We can continue searching both high and low. When will we discover it? No one will know. It is a rough road to travel with no signs. We have to make sure we dig in the right mines. We all want that elusive security. They are the common goals for both you and me.

Robert, the fact that you can appreciate Pope Gregory is not lost on this poor soul! The change he made to the calendar caused a lot of upset a long time ago. Particularly for the folks who had to pay the next month's rent much earlier than usual.

Thank-you for your recent comment. I love any "gold" allegory. And your line about fool's gold is worth a million! It is everywhere indeed! Hopefully we will learn quickly as we go.

Dear Robert, This rhyme is saying many things-many themes! With a spiritual twist, everything in life, every trial, works together for good, for those who love the Lord. This is so nice that if I were able, I would create a contest JUST for this one! Blessings! Gwendolen
