Looking Back

I don't know any happy super rich people -- a friend of wealth once told me: "See all this, a huge property and home, dripping gold gilt, "I have nothing...." I thought, myself spared leaving, as I gave my vehicle the usual primer finessing of the gas pedal, before it would prayerfully start -- Of course, having spent much of my life with those suffering, I have dried many an impoverished tear, and know no joyful hungered belly -- I often conclude, the best of my blessings found somewhere between two hells -- bellow the peak of Supreme Religious Zealots, just above The Valley of Heretics -- best years recalled, are middle-age.... God's grace and love independent of experience or knowledge -- Having abundance is opportunity to better the lives of less fortunate others....

Dear joe, this is such a profound and wise write, i agree money is not everything and doesnt promise happiness or contentment or inner peace, theres so much more to life than materialism. I love how youv written especially "I often conclude, the best of my blessings found somewhere between two hells -- bellow the peak of Supreme Religious Zealots, just above The Valley of Heretics -" so deeply meaningful! Absolutely loved reading this! Sending you light always

Money or riches cannot buy happiness. The richest billionaire may feel so lonely and desperate. The man who is so poor and homeless may enjoy greater bliss. So wealth is not the criterion that makes one joyful. If wealth is used to ameliorate poverty, it will give us many dividends. Beautiful thoughts , dear Joe.

"....chance as fitting a camel through the eye of a needle." Something like that as I recall. Everything is groovy, till one's own bull is being gored. I hear you, Valsa; all we can do is practice what we preach...and hope we are doing something positive for the world. I try to let my heart lead, which is often in opposition to my head. Blessings my friend.

- When we hear the word wealth, it's easy to think of money, luxurious possessions and great material prosperity... "rich" is about far more than just money to me - although a solid economy gives us freedom in many ways, Joe :) - Have a lovely weekend :) - hugs
