Longer Days For Shorter Nights

Long days seem pass
Yet of shorter days will there be?
Did time simply dissolve fast?
Yet seems of time I did not see

Days with never the nights
Yet of nights there never seem to end
Were it days I did not see light?
Perhaps simply time I never knew when

And days indeed to return a month
Exchanging life I never did ask for
Yet of time never could be undone
Have I the time to learn to even adore?

Before seem days long gone
After seem nights if only to have had
Choosing a memory to only belong
Yet to remember need I pay the debt

Longer were days to pass
Of shorter nights if only to see
Have I slowed for time too fast?
Yet to belong... can I be?
