The night was long, the rain was cold
She shivered between sheets of gold
Her whip-poor-will was silent too
The nightly joy, sliced clearly through
'Cause, nature did the bird protect

Amazing how after 60 years of sharing a bed the emotional affect of one's mate sleeping elsewhere. He fell and hurt his back and says that laying flat hurts(makes muscles go into spasms).
I am meaning the emotional affect of him sleeping elsewhere. I have about got used to it now.
