Long Distance Relationship: They Don'T Know

Long distance relationships are something people tend to judge... How can it be love if you don't even know his touch? They don't know how he can turn a song into an embrace That enfolds me in the warm cadence of his voice They don't know that a kiss blown from his fingertips Is still real enough to taste sweet on my lips They don't know that the first time I let him see me cry He wiped my tears with all the right words until my cheeks were dry They don't know that as I'm falling asleep I can ask him to touch me; he'll know exactly what I mean... He strokes my hair with whispers and caresses me with sighs Until my breath slows and I drift into the night They don't know... This sweet knowledge is mine alone
