Lonely Pew
As I sit in the pew of lonely darkness
With my soul wondering I see a sparkle
A light from above carried by a dove
Falling into my heart this light from above
Food I have none both battered and beaten
With tear drops I hunger and haven't eaten
Lost among many I can only trust one
As the preacher approaches I wanted to run
He spoke with thunder dressed in a robe
Hands dripping blood and a crown of thrones
He touched my soul with his eyes of love
Filling my soul so I will never hunger
Transforming my soul into pure gold
With riches surpassing my needs of old
Kneeling I asked forgiveness with a plea
He answered and said: I forgive the
Once lost and now found with God’s
Golden crown
