Lonely Caterpillar

I crawl slowly to my destination sometimes it may feel an eternity As time stands still In a standstill of time I feel odd Not sure what my body is going through Something is changing A metamorphosis Inner and outer changes Through a lonely transformation A butterfly is born I glide through the air With my colorful wings I land on a sweet flower So beautiful So fragrant My world belongs to me I am free I see the world through the lenses of liberty No longer confined
