Loneliness

Loneliness
Fills more than
Empty rooms

Loneliness
Seeks more than
Random eyes

Loneliness
Aches for its
Missing tribe.

Indeed Michelle. Loneliness "aches" and it seems to actively search out a place to set down deep roots! Your simple lines say so much with each carefully chosen word and image. I will think about the wisdom in this poem often. Our youngest and his family live in the Midwest and I so miss them - our tribe! Congratulations on your win! Blessings

An excellent write Michelle. There's power in the simplicity of short, sharp lines. You avoid (skillfully) the adjective pile on of so many postings. A memorable final stanza, too. Congratulations! Brian

Dear Michelle, the sad beauty of your poignant brevity is tender and deep. Loneliness in all its forms is a plague for so many unfortunately. Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes for you, my wonderful friend.. ~Susan
