Notes About The Poem

The transfer did not hold the original shape well. In the original, I was able to use a different font, which gave the lollipop a better shape.

Lollipop

You feel
              rather idiotic
           as you open wide &
         extend your tongue into
view, but the risk of looking
foolish pales as the sweet tangy
    taste pervades your mouth. Red
    flavor, swirled with lime,brings
     back memories of children who
      shared suckers, toys, lunches
       skates, bikes, bubblegum,&
        secrets. It was a gentle
          time of trust, love &
           free- dom. If you
            can- not tolerate
              the change in
                our world,
                 buy your-
                   self
