Logic and Magic
LOGIC AND MAGIC
Those there are who believe shadow is mystery:
They prefer wondering about life
And probing the secrets of joy and strife
With palm-lines deteriorating or amelioratory.
I deal only in logic, not magic signs.
Shadows are the absence of light;
Lines, any lines, are the paths taken by light:
Thus shadows are opposed to lines.
These two reveal nothing curious.
They merely show the presence or absence
Of energy in its essence.
All the rest is knowledge spurious.
