Living With Wolves

Nature versus nurture only men would but these at odds
Where does your sustenance’s come from
I know leading with digression is strange but I digress
Feeling like a stray sometimes, so I can easily Identify with Tarzan
and Mowgli but as grey stokes through the chimney
Who is the hero and who is the enemy
The animalization turning a child feral
or humanization of a wild animal
The bewilderment is not the becoming eyes of Kaa
or the nurturing of Tarzan’s ape mom Kala,
which is explained naturally but the unnatural acts of Humans
They called her Genie and a feral child
My anger and frustration is multiplied
She is neither coming out of a bottle or a wild child but and abused one,
By a brutal animal of a man, her dad with an estranged
indifferent mother, an abused brother,
a lost society and the Frankensteinish doctors with nothing to create
I like to call her Sylvia from now on and if wolves
would have taken her and tore her to pieces as infant
She would have been better off living with wolves,
in my opinion but she did live and her resilience I admire
The wolves would have not tortured her
but they have been known to nurture

Very powerful poem John. Interesting comparison, sad story, with so much to be said.

Thanks, Heidi. Yes very sad and I did not know, where to begin and honestly. I still do not but I had to say something. I hope know one ever forgets her situation and that it will never happen again.
