Living Shadows

Night's flickering neon lights seduce the young with their glow. And flashing taboo delights: lure youth in to catch the show. Youth views what is in plain sight, through the optics of a teen. And they search the bars at night; for a world they've never seen. The young are easily fooled, by all the hype and glitter. But naive fools soon get schooled, tossed out like back street litter. Exposed to degrees of fright, living shadows skulk and dart. For when forced to flee or fight, youth's bravado falls apart.

Great expression of how it is not so pretty behind all that glitters. Well done, Emile.
