Living For Tomorrow

I drift from place to place Never had a place to call my own Nor a plan for the future I just dreamed incessantly of tomorrow And all the greatness it would bring Problems would be solved I'd have friends in both high and low places Maybe I'd have a career But what I never expected to find Was that by living for tomorrow I forgot to enjoy today And everything I thought I had to gain I lost yesterday And now I'm just searching for what was Because tomorrow Only makes things worse and worse I have to live for today Because tomorrow will never be better If I never make today better It's just funny In the moment I never realized I was living my best years And now that they're behind me I'd give anything To have them back

Food for thought Christopher in these words. My own understanding being that we can’t alter the past but we can change the future by giving heed to the present. And all the while we are alive on this earth it’s never too late to change.
