Little People
A child saved is a soul saved
Plus a life.
A life well lived with purpose and destiny
Living by the law of love
Not a burden at age with all kinds of strife
Little people
Full of wonder and grace
It’s in the first four years
That their wiring is firm in place
How they perceive life
Sets the tone and the pace
And determines whether or not
They run a good race
Behold these little ones
Like wet cement
Impressionable
Events stored in their subconscience
Compressible
Deep within the young life
A command center resides
It is the driving force
Beneath the layers
Where secrets abide
The things they experience teach them
Be the more diligent to reach them
Show them favor
Season them with wisdom
Their character and their walk will have flavor
Because wet cement
When dried
Becomes fortified
We don't need another generation
Mortified
What kind of fire have you ignited
The torch we pass on
Does it burn brightly
From all you provided?
They are an impartation of us
We need warriors
Skilled and tough
Do we see the treasure buried within them?
Are we capable of bringing out the best in them?
They are nearer to God's heart then we are
Each child we help to reach their destiny
In our crown is a star
