Little Girl

My life is a gift, I cherish it so But there is so much to me you just don't know. Mirror mirror on the wall, I watched you you burn. I watched you fall. The scars and tears and battered eyes. I spun a web, a web of lies. I said I'd keep you warm and safe You wanted love and you wanted faith. I stomped on that, I shut you down. I made you cry, I made you frown. I tried to kill you, I tried to take your life. With a bottle of booze and a jagged knife. I am so sorry I brought you to this place. So much time I took of yours and put to waste. I saw you though, so scared with shame and fear. I want you to know that I am near. I will pick you up so you can shine your light. Little girl, you no longer have to fight. For God came to me and showed a way. To bring you to another day. So wipe your tears and dry your face. I'll take you home, to your happy place.
