Little Bit

Little Bit waddles and limps downstairs at the sound of my voice. Barks at the hyperactive English Springer with all the fervor of Boris, the Russian Wolfhound, of Disney’s Lady and the Tramp fame.
the scruffy old stud with four legs close to the ground - wisdom’s on his side

Great image of Little Bit all puffed up like a Russian Wolfhound. For we dog lovers, your poem, Kim, is a delightful joy on this winter's day. Best wishes, Brian

cute poem...sounds like a delightful pet. We once had a small dog of an unknown variety that we named 'bitzy' His favorite place to reside was under our couch. Yes, he was a peculiar little thing. Enjoyed the read, hugs, Sara

I like how your poem begins with a vivid image of Little Bit waddling and limping downstairs upon hearing the speaker's voice. This image immediately draws the reader into the scene, allowing them to visualize the playful interaction between the speaker and their pet. Lovely haiku also..
