He who heeds our soul’s cry, tremors as yet unvoiced, folding us in embrace, is who but God Himself, as He outpours His grace. He who heeds our soul’s cry, of fears we’re shy to share, responds to heart’s emote, gentling life’s turbid storms, that rock not God’s bliss boat. He who heeds our soul’s cry, yearning to feel complete, enlivens us by touch, no sooner we let go of ego borne thought crutch. He who heeds our soul’s cry, dwells in cave of our heart; His luminescence bright, He guides us with His hand, steadfast by day and night. 22-July-2022 Listening Is Loving Poetry Contest Sponsor: Mystic Rose Rose

Thank you, Bill. Poetry contests do act as a trigger to write on the theme, as of heart’s inclination

The repeated lines, per Monchielle stanza, has a powerful voice: he cares

True, kind of creates an emphasis, these repeating opening lines. It’s a tool may poets use, for instance, Regina employs this quite often in her free verse poems.
