Listen To the Stars

At night I like to listen to the stars They are like millions of tinging pieces Their sound beautifully formulated I listen to their sound enhanced thesis Ping a ting a ling all around the air A lofty feel they each bring in the night Such a soothing sound to my tender ear Complimented only by their small light As the stars make their glorious music Orchestrated by the wee-tiny bells Softly they harmoniously align And create a song deep within the dells At night I like to listen to the stars They are like millions of peeling pieces Their sound beautifully formulated I listen to their sound enhanced reaches

Best of luck on the contest! I liked how you compared the stars with tinny sounding music... I've never thought of it like that before but it really fits the atmosphere of stars.

I like the literary contrast in this piece. At first glance we are used to looking at stars, but you have change the imagery to listening to stars... its an amazing delight to capture the sound of nature

I "listen" often to the stars Russell .... a sky full of stars .... a universe as deep and the distant that I get the feeling of being just a tiny, tiny spot in the great unknown. - Good luck in the contest, with your lovely poem. - Have a relaxing weekend. - oxox / / Anne-Lise :)
