Liquid Melody

Somewhere - -

         in the city of the clouds, the rain quietly ponders,
   and each liquid melody patiently waits;

     to
        absorb the warmth of my being

- let the silky touch of the sky hold me -

      I softly whisper, in-between breaths
          . . I shall not be moved

Brandy, I so wish this was true here. It has been drier than dry, and this lovely poem is a reminder that we are not getting ANY rain, but it would be terrific if we did. I can FEEL the rain in this poem.

Awe, if I could send you some rain, I would. I am needing this light touch from the sky, as it is dry here as well. I capture each moment, when it does rain. Thank you Caren for your lovely comment. Maybe the rain will caress your part of the world and mine, very soon. :) Brandy

The gentle rhythm of the rain, as it taps against my window pane, moves me...as does your poetry...
