Limerick: Once a Delicious Hen Fed On Rice-Sticks

Limerick: Once a delicious hen fed on rice-sticks for Delysia Hendricks, with many, many thanks Once a delicious hen fed on rice-sticks Loved gorging herself on limericks She pecked on a sweet line It turned all alkaline Now chicken’s served with acid on bricks. © T. Wignesan – Paris, 2013

Awwww, thanks for this. First time I see it. I'm totally and utterly chuffed. Good wordplay with "delicious hen". Thank you, Master Wordsmythe. :)

I'm embarrassed. You push me into an awkward posture. I need to be a contortionist to wiggle out of your verbal kindness of an assault. And even then..., so the best I can do is to return the compliment and hide behind my tongue-tied-ness. I'm merely the anvil which bears the brunt of the fiery blows of some Smith in some "dark unfathomable caves". EGW & very many thanks. Wignesan
